Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol, hosted the fourth Business Showcase South West on 17th May 2017. This is one of the largest business exhibitions in the area, was free to attend and saw over 200 exhibitors with approximately 2500 people attending. This is a great networking opportunity for businesses from the South West to showcase their business. Google held an expert-led workshop showing delegates the opportunities available from using social media within their business.
Guest Speakers
There were three guest appearances: Sarah Pullen, the Managing Director of Trinity Mirror, the largest British newspaper, magazine and digital publisher; the 2014 winner of the Apprentice, Mark Wright; and the youngest and most successful winner of Dragons Den, Jordan Dakin.
Sponsors
The event, after four years, has now become the largest in the region and recognises the best in innovation, creativity and enterprise. One of the sponsors, Daniel Olsen, Managing Director of Soitron, an IT solutions and management service, stated that he wanted to give back knowledge and expertise and support local businesses. Other sponsors were Bluepoppy Vehicle Solutions, Bristol Waste, Cabut Circus, Bristol City College and the West of England Growth Hub.
Founded
The event was originally founded by Jamie Breese, the TV presenter and entrepreneur. He has graced our television screens for the past 17 years and is an antiques, collectables and memorabilia expert. He has held various events for the past nine years and says this year is going to be bigger and better. A second showcase for the South West will be held on October 11th, giving delegates another opportunity to connect with other global businesses and give exhibitors the chance to showcase their products.
Businesses
Any business can hold an event to advertise their products. When planning a business event with an agency such as http://davisevents.ie, make sure you have a clear business purpose and that your event does not clash with other similar events around that date. Determine how to advertise your event and what kind of impact you can make.
As with any event, advertising is the key. Ashton Gate has the experience and expertise to hold these successful events and will carry on for years to come. If you missed the showcase on 17th May, you still have the opportunity to go to the second showcase on October 11th.
